The Bible teaches us that we are servants of the Lord. But when it comes to fundraising, we may feel more like beggars than like servants. So why not take the idea and the servant into a fun and profitable fundraiser. In this way, we are able to continue serving the Lord and act in a humble manner, while having a little fun. You've probably seen, or what kind of fundraising before or you've heard. The idea is simple auction you work for a day. If you have a great group of young people you may have to auction it off youth services for a day or alternatively you can auction a specific service. If you opt for a specific service that you will auction 10-yard clippings such as hiking or 6 dogs.
If you are an auction service people for a day can be for anything within reason. You need to have parameters set up so that children do not take on tasks beyond their years.
This can also be fun for adults. If you have a congregation are mostly adults trying to have a fundraising auction for adults. The principle is the same and the adults do the work. Again you will need to have parameters set up so that buyers know what to expect appropriate work is.
If you plan well, you should be able to offer snacks for sale and raise a little more money via a snack bar. If the idea is not a snack bar, you can always call forward with a free will and allow people to donate as they please.
