Broadway goes to New York Come Alive

Every time I think a trip to New York, either for holidays or just one or two days to visit, I can not help but look forward to visiting Broadway shows and magnificent await you in the sacred precincts of the Great White Way. Broadway captures the essence and heartbeat of New York to me. It may, in turn, bawdy, brawling, noisy, rowdy, soft, romantic , comic, and RIP-roaringly hilarious. Broadway has everything for those who are looking for their "perfect fit.

If there is a problem with Broadway is that this old dilemma - too many great shows to see and not enough time to see them! I do not even native New Yorkers have enough time to enjoy the art treasures available in the "city that never sleeps." The truth of the matter is this - to fully enjoy all the theatrical offerings at your disposal, you'd almost have to resign themselves to go without sleep!.

Musicals

One important thing to emphasize is that all shows are available at all times. Check to confirm if the program you want to see plays when your visit to avoid having his hopes dashed. For music lovers, offers Broadway 'Chicago The Musical, "" Forbidden Broadway "(a fake-tickling sendup of Broadway)," Jersey Boys "(with music of Frankie Valli and the four seasons)," Naked Boys Singing "(not a typo - yes, they are!)," Phantom of the Opera "and" Rent "(both of which have been made in recent films)," Wicked "and" Mama Mia! " .

Comedies

Broadway is well known to escape conformity, and also well known for letting their hair down and have a good old time. These traditions are not lost on Broadway theater today. Comedies and musicals on Broadway are not mutually exclusive, though some shows next mentioned a certain degree of song and dance. The offer includes: "I Love You," "you're perfect - now change!", "God sees Dog: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead" (it is actually off Broadway, but has points with me on the title alone!), "Spamalot" (a rising star with rave reviews from critics and a good turnout - Buy your tickets early!), "The Producers" (another recent movie), and "The Little Dog Laughed '--- all very good choice. Fortunately, you've seen something that will tickle your funny bone!

Drama

Although most people think of Broadway as delightfully happy-go-lucky, there is a deep undercurrent of drama. In addition, some musicals carry with them profound messages about music, life and love. Foremost in this particular niche, "rent" (think "La Boheme meets modern life"), "Les Miserables" (another base Broadway did not need any introduction), "Grey Gardens" (a perfect choice for anyone who dreads ending a "lady cat" or a spinster), "A Chorus Line," "Chicago," "The Color Purple," "Phantom of the Opera" and "The Vertical Hour" (a new addition - hope that makes a lasting impression).

There are musicals and plays to the family that I note as well: "Wicked," "The Phantom of the Opera" (it could be a bit much for young children in some areas), "Tarzan," "The King Lion (A moving and really wonderful song and dance), "Mary Poppins," "Mama Mia!", "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Beauty and the Beast." As a parent, you know your children better and, ultimately, what will or will not be afraid of for them, or perhaps raise embarrassing questions for you. You need to watch most Broadway with these things in mind.

Broadway is a wonderful avenue to really enjoy what New York has to offer visitors the choice of entertainment. Although it is impossible to see a little every show that might attract your attention is quite feasible since taking the time to see one that interests you most, and it will be a memorable experience for you and family.
