BLUETOOTH Techology

In the tenth century, King of Denmark was Harald Blatand (Bluetooth). The

Blatand name literally translates to "Bluetooth" was named after him because he was the man

responsible for gathering Denmark and part of Norway into one kingdom. He died in battle

986AD. Although he died without the unification of all the Nordic countries, it became synonymous

unification of telecommunications and computing. As Bluetooth is based around the Runes

legend of Harald Bluetooth. It was built in order to make communication a personal space

humanity. The Bluetooth connection takes place in real time, passing data instantly.

Bluetooth technology is designed so that it operates at 2.4 GHz (IE) in a short range of

wireless communication. The range of Bluetooth is about 10 meters, which is about 30 feet. He

is designed so that it is lightweight and portable. It contains standards and protocols that makes

mobile, robust, reliable. It is not limited to a single manufacturer. The Bluetooth has replaced the cables

which in comparison is very profitable. The Bluetooth must be resistant to parasites

caused. When Bluetooth is used for mobile devices, it is designed to be compact, lightweight, lower

powerful and easy to use. It has a built in mechanism for IP devices, connect to them and once

connected discover the services they have in their database.

A simple procedure that you understand how the Bluetooth connection is established:

The master polls to search for available devices to connect.

The slave listens for an investigation by the master enters the inquiry scan mode.

When an inquiry is received, the slave responds to the main with a frequency hopping

packet synchronization (FHS). The FHS contains information that helps to create a connection to the

device and the information includes the address and the Bluetooth device class.

The master collects information FHS each device that is discovered. To connect

to one of these devices the master uses the Bluetooth address and password mode and page

pages of the device.

The slave being paged must be on the page scan mode to allow connection with the master.

For most countries, industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band used by Bluetooth is

available from 2.40 to 2.4835 GHz. Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) techniques are used by

Bluetooth to improve immunity against interference. Bluetooth allows a proper frequency

coverage with the test sequence.

Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is working to promote, shape and define the specification and

Bluetooth market position. GIS provides protocol definitions for

interoperability. For the upper layers of protocols it provides support services and the host controller interface.

Communication with Bluetooth technology is encrypted for security. When two Bluetooth devices try

link, the thing above all they do is confirm their identities by exchanging their keys.

The two devices will not be able to communicate if the keys do not match.

The basic Bluetooth specification describes the protocol, the profile document allows applications

development. It describes the systems implementation and highlights the basic Bluetooth protocol support

profile. The example of profiles is a wireless headset for mobile phones. The headset profile is

use that is made that the basic specification. The headset profile is built from SPP (Serial Port Profile) and

PPM (Generic Access). The GAP defines the procedures that deal with detection devices and

link management.

blue tooth is used as access points for mobile service device connection such as DSL or PSTN

services. It connects mobile phones to laptop PCs. It is used by PDAs, handheld computers and desktop computers. He

ensures compatibility in the world of communication by the use made by cellular phones, cordless phones,

microwave, and wireless technology
