What compels people to Jesus plaster fish and religious objects around in their car? I can understand the self-expression and deep devotion, but if I see another car covered in stickers with slogans related God I think I might lose it. They should stop wasting their money on stickers and spend it on something useful, like the brakes! I am a part time EMT so I have seen very horrible accident. I've seen people survive some situations that should not have left, call the will of God, call it luck, call it what you want. I've seen enough to make me a little religious, but I hate dealing with religious freaks.
A few weeks ago, we received an emergency call on a car flew off the road and struck a nearby tree. My partner Jeff and I jumped in the ambulance and sped through the night on the scene. It was out of the mist, the type of precipitation that is not enough to be called the rain, but just enough to cover the roads. This amount of water does not normally pose a threat to pilots, but there are other factors to consider. There could be oil, grease or other chemicals on the road that combine with water to make the streets slick.
As we race on the highway I can do flashing lights of thirty meters from the road. Jeff slams on the brakes and I pulled the door and run vehicle smoking. Sitting in the car is an old woman. Mom, you okay? I ask as I flash my light in the interior. My self is stuck under the seat, she screamed. Trapped in the small two-door Civic the woman sat, hands clasped in prayer. the driver's side door is stuck in a tree so I removed him from the passenger side. When I made it out, the car is smoking badly. My lungs begin to hurt and my heart beats to draw deep breaths of white smoke. leg of the woman is severely cut and bleeding profusely. So Jeff and I threw her arms over his shoulders to bring it to the ambulance because we needed to get out of the car as soon as possible. As we are of her, she screams and goes back to his car. Wait, I can not leave, she screamed. Have we forgotten a child in the backseat? I need my Jesus statue! Are you serious lady? Your car is about to explode, but you want us to go back out a little statue? Jeff and I pulled her screams and kicks the hill to the ambulance. We strap her down and calm. Moments later, his car in flames. Fire brightly, we can see many stickers covering her carall religious.
We taught her to hospital and it was fine. A doctor bandaged his leg and reassured her that she would be good. An officer had to question the woman about the accident for the report. She kept resisting and trying to avoid saying she was traumatized. She forced the officer to use his vehicle to get more information. He turned his car brakes did not pass inspection a few weeks ago and it has never replaced. The woman finally broke down and complained of having no money and giving all his money to his church.
If you want to be religious, by all means, be religious. But when you start to give money that you do not, it's a problem. This lady really needs a new set of ceramic brake pads and probably some Eibach springs replacement, which would have been much cheaper than a new car.
